What is safety glass and why should I include it in the double
Safety glass is a combination of one or more glasses with one or more membranes (PVB) which in case of breakage hold the glass together. So, you will choose safety glass for the following reasons:
If you want to prevent the penetration of ultraviolet radiation that causes damage to furniture and fabrics
Do you want more sound insulation that the membrane offers to the glass?
Due to safety in case of breakage and that is why we recommend it for large fixed frames and doors

What thickness should the two glasses be?
It is recommended for sound insulation reasons, to have at least one millimeter difference between the two glasses (eg 4mm + 5mm). In terms of thermal insulation, the thickness will have little effect on the performance of the glass. Finally, the choice of thickness depends on the size of the frame.
